Definitely one of the best little bakeries I've been to anywhere! We stumbled across it after dropping someone off at the Amtrak station and now would never consider going past Galesburg without stopping in.The ginger cookies and cheese danish are some of the best I've ever had. They are delicious enough that I am thinking of making a special trip from the Quad cities just to get some more.
The only place I get my coffee beans. The best in town. Pick up some fresh baked good that are small batch baked, not made for the masses. Amazing staff that actually care. True local family business.
I just moved to Galesburg three months ago from Monmouth. I have been to this bakery four times already. I have had cookies, pastries and a special order strawberry pie. Everything was bakery quality and I, along with some best friends, loved the strawberry pie. The employees have always had a smile and were very helpful. I tried to get there on a Saturday for sausage gravy and biscuits, but they were out. I didn’t get there until 10:10am. I will get there soon. It is very much worth the trip.
We didn’t get to try anything today, we went 30 minutes before close and mostly everything was sold out except cookies were left, we were driving through and hoping to get a quick treat as we saw it and had never been before, hope to try it again! 5 stars because the cookies looked good but we wanted pastries and the person working behind the counter was very kind!
This place has the best bakery stuff. Scones and pies are delicious. Get here early though, stuff doesn't last very long.
The people at the Carriage House made the cupcakes for our wedding (and cupcakes and cookies for our bridal shower) and they were so good - everyone loved them! They made vanilla with sprinkles (my favorite) and red velvet with cream cheese frosting (my husband’s favorite). Thank you again for everything!!!
Krayson was amazing and friendly. She was very patient as we decided what to get and is very proud of her town. The lemon poppy seed cookies are amazing. The raspberry scones were also great - filled with raspberries.
We asked The Carriage House to make a bunch of yummy goodies for Jordyn and Isaiah‘s wedding. Even though we are like family to the Anderson‘s, I will say that they treat everyone like family. We had chocolate cupcakes, vanilla cupcakes, vanilla, vegan and gluten free cupcakes(they are delicious), custom designed sugar cookies, which included the tiniest rose flowers and the detail was amazing on every single one. Laura is always a joy to work with, she always goes above and beyond any and all expectations. The staff at The Carriage House is amazing as well. I recommend them for any large event, family gathering, or if you just want to pop in for a good cup of coffee and baked good. We love The Carriage House and can’t thank you enough for making our special day even more special🤍

The Carriage House is a welcome surprise. The small bakery has a good selection of treats including cookies, scones and rolls along with some savory breads. They also have some of the best tasting coffee in Galesburg. The staff is delightful and welcoming and very helpful. The cinnamon roll I had was so good that I ate it all before I could snap a picture. I highly recommend trying this place out if you haven't already.
